The most expensive Renault electric car went on sale (photo)

Renault Megane E-Tech in the Iconic version has a more expressive design and more extensive equipment. The electric car is equipped with a 220-horsepower engine and can travel 450 km without recharging.

Renault Megane E-Tech Iconic went on sale in the European market. The top version of the model is valued at 52,900 euros and is the most expensive electric car in the history of the French brand. Details of the car were revealed on the official Renault website.

The new Renault Megane E-Tech Iconic differs from the standard design model – its bumpers are supplemented with elements imitating the anti-wings of Formula 1 cars. In addition, the Renault electric car received special 20-inch alloy wheels and two-tone body painting.

Leather and wood are used in interior decoration

Renault Megane E-Tech Iconic interior is finished with leather and wood. The electric car is equipped with a virtual instrument panel and a large 9-inch touchscreen facing the driver. An important novelty is the heat pump – it powers the climate control, which allows you to save battery charge in winter.

The complete set of Renault Megane in the Iconic version has been expanded and includes a round-view camera, 410-watt Harman Kardon speakers, wireless charging of smartphones, heated seats and steering wheel. The Renault electric car also received a package of safety systems — adaptive cruise control, automatic braking, sign recognition, control of markings and “blind” zones.

The new Renault Megane E-Tech Iconic is available only in the top 220-horsepower version and with an increased battery of 60 kWh. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and develops 160 km/h. The range is 450 km, and charging an electric car to 80% from a fast station takes half an hour.
